DEFENSIVE BARRIERS

DEFENSIVE BARRIERS, also known as sand barriers and military barriers, are efficient and cost-effective measures used in military and peacekeeping sites to provide protection for persons, vehicles, structures, and equipment. Since the Second World War, they have been regarded as the most significant advancement in field fortifications. In about 20 minutes, two manpower and one front-loading machine can erect a 10 m wall. The same wall would require three times as much fill material and eight persons for more than eight hours to construct using sandbags. Welded wire mesh and non-woven polypropylene geotextile are the main components of defensive barriers, which are sturdy structures. The defensive barriers can be created in both standard and recoverable varieties for you to choose from, depending on the various application.

Welded mesh panels:

Welded mesh pales are the main component of defensive barriers. The panel is made of galvanized wires through different diameters and mesh openings. Wires range: 4 and 5mm and mesh opening 50×50, 75×75, 100×100 mm or another opening can be fabricated to match the application. The Box sizes are varied for different applications and other sizes can be fabricated based on the customer’s request.

Geotextile:

Non-woven geotextile fabric comprises 100% polypropylene for high filtration and penetration applications. It has durable life in the defensive barriers in severe settings, high strength, high UV resistance and high rot prevention.

Connections:

The most common and strongest connection that is fixing the defensive barriers is the spiral joints connection. The spiral joints are fabricated with the same wire material as the welded mesh panel.
